We’re excited to announce the release of the SimSpace Weaver app SDK v1.17.0. This release reorganizes the app SDK distributable package to simplify onboarding for new users and contains ready-to-use samples that you can use as templates for your projects.
All C++, Python, Unity, and Unreal samples now have standard directory structures and Python helper scripts to launch locally or in the AWS Cloud. To use the samples in your project, copy and paste the folder containing the sample source code into a new folder and it's ready to use. The helper scripts now provide the same level of support for both Windows and Amazon Linux 2 (AL2). The Unreal Engine and Unity plugins are now included as part of the app SDK distributable package. The Unity plugin requires Unity version 2022.3.19f1 or higher.
You can now use the quick-start Python script to start samples and simulations in Weaver Local. You no longer need to manually build and launch local simulations. We improved the Weaver Local code, so we recommend that you upgrade to version 1.17.0 if you use it. For more information, see the service versions pageENnbsp;in the AWS SimSpace Weaver User Guide.
AWS SimSpace Weaver is available in ten AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), AWS GovCloud (US-East), AWS GovCloud (US-West), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), and Europe (Stockholm).ENnbsp;
