Starting today, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) I4g storage-optimized instances powered by AWS Graviton2 processors are now available in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) region. I4g instances deliver the best compute price performance for a storage-optimized EC2 instance and the best storage performance per TB for a Graviton-based storage instance.ENnbsp;

I4g instances are based on AWS Nitro SSDs, custom built by AWS, reducing both latency and latency variability, and Graviton2 processors, delivering the highest compute price performance for a storage optimized instance. I4g instances are optimized for workloads performing a high mix of random read/write operations and requiring very low I/O latency and high compute performance, such as transactional databases (Amazon DynamoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL), real-time databases including in-memory databases, NoSQL databases, time-series databases (Clickhouse, Apache Druid, MongoDB) and real-time analytics such as Apache Spark.

With this regional expansion, I4g instances are now available in the following AWS Regions: Canada (Central), Europe (Ireland), US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), Asia Pacific (Singapore) and US West (Oregon).ENnbsp;
