Today, AWS announces support for Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) within Amazon CodeCatalyst. This launch allows you to connect to a VPC from CodeCatalyst Workflows, extending the number of developer scenarios supported by CodeCatalyst.
Until now, resources on a VPC could only be accessed from CodeCatalyst if there was a public route to that resource. VPC within CodeCatalyst unlocks a number of use cases. You can make an API call to validate the deployment of a private resource, revise a database schema, or update an application running on a Kubernetes cluster. You can also ensure that Workflows run while adhering to the network rules of your VPC.
This feature is available in all Regions where CodeCatalyst is generally available. To learn more, see the VPC documentation in the Amazon CodeCatalyst Administrator Guide.
